Jane Hedengren, a junior at Timpview High in Utah, won the Bob Day girls sweepstakes race by covering the 3-mile layout in 15:32.5 at the 42nd Woodbridge Cross Country Classic presented by ASICS America at Orange County Great Park in Irvine, Calif. Hedengren ran the fastest 3-mile cross country performance in U.S. prep history, eclipsing the mark of 15:42.6 by Sadie Engelheart from Ventura High in California last year.
