Tristan Kippes, a junior at Palo Alto High in California, won a Gold Division boys varsity race by covering the 3-mile layout in 14:53.4 at the 42nd Woodbridge Cross Country Classic presented by ASICS America at Orange County Great Park in Irvine, Calif. Palo Alto, competing without sweepstakes participant Grant Morgenfeld in the lineup, still took third with 186 points.
